k&b Carb/Throttle cable help

Hi All.

I have a k&b .82 and wanting to use a cable on the throttle. I have the relevant brackets etc. but the carb isnt spring loaded. Will a cable be able to smoothly open andc lose the carb without a spring and is this how most of you guys have these set up?

If you use the correct size cable, i dont see where it should be a problem...i dont remember any of the K&B carbs being spring loaded....

thanks Bill, as I thought. The cable I am using must be too thin...has a little bit of play.

cable will work absolutely fine...all i run in my o/b setups....it will be plenty smooth...
