K&B 3.5 Con. Rod

Hello all, Is the old k&b stock rod #8390 any good or is the new style tublar rod better.I found a couple of the old style at a yard sale for $2.00 (new). Just wondering about the two for sport running. Thanks , Brian

Well others might disagree, but here is my spin on it:

I you plan to run the engine in the stock classes leave it alone, the stock rod is fine.

I you plan to run the engine in the Mod classes, with a pipe, porting, etc, then the RPM replacement rod is the way to go.
