I'm pretty sure I screwed up sheeting the bottom sponsons but does anyone have a picture of what there suppose to look like before I order a new set.
 
My gas JAE sponson during construction, same as my JAE 21 and 45. What do you think you did wrong?

Just add a 1/8 triangle piece of bass wood to the back edge flush to ride surface.
 
The over hang on the bottom. How important is that.
The front bottom or back bottom?

The front bottom would be more important as that is a riding surface at full plane. The back over hang would not be needed. It would mostly just help at launch to get on plane.

If you have a strong motor to get you on plane it shouldn't be too big of a deal. As long as you have a 90° angle.
