how to set up safety wiring harness for FE

Currently for a JAE Mini Sprint, just not comfortable taping down cowl with the ESC armed. My intent is to introduce a young grandson to this aspect of the hobby and safety harness would be a big plus. I am assuming you set it up with external wiring link for the battery to ESC (+) side, but just guessing. Thanks for any advise.

If you look at this pic you can see mine.The female connector is glued into a brass tube that is glued into the hull. The wire with the male connector comes out the side and is sealed with high temp auto gasket silicone. Def other ways but this was what I came up with.

There is also a picture and diagram in the Safety rule section of the IMPBA rullebook it is not mandatory for IMPBA but is recommended.
