This is only first Dumas Scarab 55 inch hull I have owned, it has two fuel tanks. A large 24 oz and a small 3 oz hopper? They were not mounted into the Hull yet since this boat was never completed with the previous Owner. I was going to mount the 24 ox thank lengthwise up front of the engine pick up tub going to the rear- but the hopper tank van it be mounted sideways? and 1/4 inch higher then the main tank? Or will this cause a issue and the hopper should be mounted with the pickup tube going to the rear of the boat also? Its for a Nitro 90 engine. Thanks Ken

I have the same boat in my bed room, give it a hug every night before bed time, 2 times US 1 winner in 2 different classes, with a .67 mac and ,84 mac, I moved the CG forward 3 inches from where the directions called for, used 1/2 inch plywood for the rails and 1/2 inch piece of ply covered all of the inside of the transom, 1 26 oz slant soft tank with the tank pick up sitting in the bottom of the vee, close to the carb, rubber banded to the rails, and a second 6 oz slt tank, sitting above the carb, rubber banded into the out side of the the rail with the fuel line coming from the 26 oz pick up tube into the 6 oz tank pressure line. This will allow U to use all the fuel from the larger tank up first.
BTW my boat weighs 23 and 1/2 pounds with 32 oz a fuel.
Good luck.
