Wow,

I used to have one of those RS2000 escorts, Webbers, Bilsein, Mazda 5 speed, simmons wheels, what a beast!

Hey Chris,

I've seen those pic's on the escort forum - the rally car looks awesome with the repsol paint job!

I'm not a big fan of 4 doors - the 2 doors are my fave.

Hey Gene,

Does the soft top leak on your "Capri"?

Tim

Hey Tim,

Funny you should mention that

Actually I have a test, I get in tha car and my Buddy takes the garden hose to it full blast,

This is my fourth convertable and rated as such:

First) The Capri passed with flying colors, But the top is new.

Second) 65 Mustang, some leakage around windshield frame, But side curtain dry

Third) 70's Triumph Spitfire, Gentle rain no problem, Heavy down pour, Run for cover

Total Last) 70's MG Midget, Might as well not even put the top up, leaked everywhere

I want my next "playtoy" car to be a Mitsubishi EVO, You guy's in Oz know 'bout those?

The nice thing about the cars we've been talkin' is they don't have to a track to enjoy

their top speed and they will really "dice up" the city traffic.

I run autocross mostly too and you don't get much above 70mph,

so these little cars with Big acelleration are really the "ticket".

My car friend and I are buildin' a 914 Porsche, all Porsche racing suspension,

911 5 speed side shift trans with a all aluminum 350 Chevy built to 550 hp. The $ are all his

, but he needs help building them and I get to drive them now and then at the autocross meets.

The first time out in autocross I won A-Stock with my friend "Mike's" Porsche "Boxster", my competition

was Z06 Corvette's, BMW M3's , Honda 2000's and others I can't remember. I beat Mike's best time

by 1 1/2 seconds, In His Own Car! He wasn't Thrilled,,, but, impressed

Seems like I'm a little better at driving with a little "bigger" wheel

 :D Evo + 12K = 10 sec car........Zoom,Zoom ;)

Well Jer, Im impressed ;) We had SCCA clubs do autocross here in tha mid to late 80's.

KEWL stuff, I always got tickeled at the dude with this Vette, 375 Hp, TA 50's added Koni's and thought he was Steve McQueen, All he did was donuts and smoked tha tires    The Vette's are competitive, but it takes a finesse driver. Jeeez we had 356's, slant nose 911's, 914's, Bunch of Migets, Mini Coopers,

Fun Times,

Hi Slidey, Poor ol' Mike , I have got better times consistantly with both of his running cars, it really "get's" to him. It got so bad that he went out and bought two Rotax 125cc go-karts at $5,500 a pop in an effort to beat me,, and has consistantly beat me in the karts,,Gawd they'er allota Work,, the "G" forces are Enormous! They will definetly "pump you up" dealing with the resistance in the steering wheel. I told him "it's like havin' sex for three hours,, it's fun,,but a bit to much work"

   :p

Hey Jer,

Couple Bud's of mine flew out somewhere and did tha shifter cart thang, school for one day and drive the next, They came back "Pie Eyed" and white as ghosts, Dem is some kinda wicked!!!! ;)

Yep - very common over here in Group N rallying and also production car circuit racing. Same deal with Subaru WRX STi's. Plenty of go fast parts available for them too.
