Help with REK lower unit

I am using one of these on my kneeler hydro and recently lost the retaining clip that holds the pin in place which joins the outboard leg to the mount on the transom. The thing was a nuisance to put on and remove and I noticed it had jumped ship after my last run. Fortunately the pivot pin stayed in. This is an FE conversion but I figured I might find an answer more quickly in the outboard forum. Thanks for your help.

I had the same trouble so what i did was remove the the top mount and put the pin from the top and filed a piece from the top mount just enough where it meets the pin for it sit flush worked a treat

i put a small screw across the bottom of the hole, & install the pin from the top. i use these on my ob riggers.

Thanks, guys. I think I'm following but will take a closer look to see how to accomplish that. Pics would be helpful since too. I'm a visiual learner. LOL.
