Gas scale 8255 motor placement

I got my K30 today and was just wondering what is the measurement from the outside of the transom to the center of the plug. Can someone help me out?

I would install it as far forward as possible. With the plug just behind the driver. You also had question about the clearance for the cowl. You can make a belly pan to clear the engine case. The rear rubber bushings should be sitting on the floor of the engine well. how about making the air intake box on top of the cowl cover the plug if it is going to be a problem fittin a K30 in the boat. I thought we had some guy using that K30 in a 8255 here??

Here are some pics of the boat I built for Carl. I don't have any measurements but I did make a belly pan and the center of the motor was a little forward of the break in the bottom of the hull.

Phil, I believe Jeff Austin has a K-30 in a Circus,Circus 8255 hull.
