Fuel Tanks

Hi everyone

What is the preferred size of tank to use in a 3.5 O.B tunnel? Does size affect C.G? I know a 6oz. tank will give me enough fuel to finish a race. I currently use an 8oz. sullivan slant in my J.D. WOF29's. Should the C.G. be set with an empty or full tank? I Know the fuel cell is the way to go, but at 5 bucks each I want to replace all my tanks in my 3 boats Thanks for any input ---Don

I'd recommend an 8 oz. tank. I'm currently running the fuel cells from Mike Z., and I think they are 7 oz. I check C/Gs without fuel. But, I adjust the C/G when there's fuel in the tanks, so I don't know what to tell you other than run the boat and adjust the C/G as needed. I currently run 4 oz. of lead in my 30" 3.5 mod tunnel. There's 2 oz. in each of the sponson tips.
