i was talking to a friend that ownes a t-maxx and he said he had a fly wheel attacked to the shaft. i looked at some boat picts and i haven't seen a fly wheel on any of them.do i need one on my rigger???

Thanks

Matt

Depends...how do you plan on starting it? Most flywheels have a V groove that a belt engages in. You use an electric starter, like for airplanes, and hook it under the belt to start.

Hey Matt,

Look at the first picture under the post (New .12 Crapshooter???)

and you will see a flywheel in front of the carb but you won't

see a pull start on that engine. That's just because I'm lazy and would

rather use an electric starter with a V- belt than pull on a cord.

"Great answere Propjocky" : :)

Good luck Matt, the pull start is a lot cheaper than an electric starter

and battery. :)

Thamks a lot guy's :)

Don that .12 Crapshooter is looking pritty good!!

What type of rudder are you useing?

Matt

Matt,

That's not really a Crapshooter. I just said that for a joke.

The actual rudder blade is a stainless steel from Hughey boats.

I machined the bracket that holds it from aluminum. The blade

itself is kinda heavy. I see that your building a Firefighter. Great

choice! I would use whatever he thinks is correct. Or you could

use Octura. I think a lot of guys do on thier 12s.

Hey you guys! I don't wanna sound like hardhead, but if you consolitated your threads, they would be alot easier to follow.

You don't need to make a new thread for every question are statement you have about 1 boat. I really want to read about it, but it is difficult to get the whole picture when I have to go from thread to thread to put the picture together.
