Flex Question

On a .12 rigger with octura .130 flex through 7/32" tube with teflon

I would guess you should leave a little distance between the

drive dog and thrust washers and the strut.

How much and is there a method to figure this?

I was told as a good rule of thumb to always make the distance the thickness of the flex cable. It has always worked for me!
