FF.45 prop size.

I am building a fe version of the ff.45. I will be using a CC 1717 motor which is a beast, so i will be using a 1/4 flex shaft. I need some suggestions on prop size so i know if I should use 1/4 prop shaft or step it down to 3/16.

On my nitro FF45 (Picco 45) I use a 1462 or 1657. Both 3/16" props.

I think your question would be better suited to the FE Forum as it's more specific to the powerplant than the hull type.

Ken, 3/16 for sure for a 1717. 1/4" is for 10s boats.

Thanks guy's. I was thinking 3/16 but i have never ran a rigger so wasnt 100% on the prop sizes the used. I know a 3/16 flex shaft is not enough for the 1717 as my leopard motor just turned a 3/16 shaft into a pretzel. The 1717 would have quite a bit more torque than the leopard.

Ken I'm using 3/16 on my Jae Fe with a 4282(2000kv) Leopard with no issues on 6S.
