I am building a Dumas Atlas Van Lines U-1 36" wood kit. It is a .40 sport boat. This is my first scale boat. I am not sure what engine would be best . I do not need to break any speed records, just want a good handeling boat and have fun.

Building the kit is not a problem, I just not sure what engine and pipe I should use. Any helpfull tips on building, setting up and engine brands would be helpfull.

I am thinking of an OPS .45 hydro. They are less expensive than CMB.

Has anyone built one of these kits? How are they on the water? I could use all the help I can get.

Thank you,

Shawn

the ops 45 is an excelent motor sure they arnt the fastest thing around but they are a bullet proof engine ;) ;) ;) there are three in our club and they run circles around the highly modfied k & b's and can hold up fairly well against the cmb in the club

Shawn go look under Kasoo Fun Run there is a picture of one in there that has been modified !!! No wing. It looks good !!! belongs to Nitronewbie
