A big congrats to Ralph Almirola for winning US-1 in Twin Rigger at the IMPBA Internats..
Icing on the cake? Aric qualifying 5th in the Truck series last night, finishing 13th. Then sitting in this afternoon and qualifying the #20 Rockwell Automation car for Denny Hamlin in the Busch Series - at a Blistering 29.431 @ 122.320 mph... Denny Hamlin should be fairly happy that his Car sits on the pole waiting for him when he arrives from Sonoma, starting last because of a driver change will be kind of a bummer.
It's unfortunate Aric won't be racing tonight in the #20 car - in order to keep his rookie status In Tact for 2007 he will only race in 4 or so Busch races for 2006, so far he has done well for JGR taking an 11th place finish in only his 2nd Busch Series race and now the POLE in only his 3rd qualifying attempt.
