CMB pipe for a CMB 45

I need to cut down the silenced end of my pipe to get it under my Sport 40 hull deck.

can the stinger be cut too or will this effect the pipes performance >

With the end bit that has the holes in it , how close can it be to the stinger ?

Can't see how cutting an inch or so off the can would hurt.
