Got that. Just wondering it there's one thing or the other should be watched. I know the **** thing will spin

Watch the crankshaft end play,,, when you notice the slightest bit of back and forth movement, it's time to open up the motor and take a look.

Usually the front bearing ( the smaller one under the flywheel) is the first to show wear, as it takes all the load of the prop and cable pushing the boat. ( unless you are using square drive cables )

Sometimes a ball in the large bearing may chip and send tiny pieces of hardened steel up into the cylinder and piston,,, the slightest hard spot spot felt while turning the motor by hand is cause for inspection of the cylinder and piston top.
If you see any embedded metal chips on the piston or head button.. Stop ! You are done for the day.

If you feel the bearings getting rough or growling like an old steel roller skate, continued running is not worth the extra 10 minutes of fun... You might get away with it, but why risk total destruction of the motor..
