After a 30 yr gap in RC racing getting back in to some engine tuning
How much Squash is appropriate with 50 to 65% nitro for a CMB .67 RH EVO
Before sending my crank to Kent Ballard for balancing mine was .0180 to .0190 from the factory with 1 ea .008 head shim . (measured using soft soldier method)
If my feeble ole memory is correct we use to run .012 to .015 squash @ 65% in my ole OPS .60 rear exhaust any input is appreciated .
In the ole 60/70's OPS '60's we did a lot of port and head dome profiling and tune pipe fab. just to make them reasonably fast in fact I started machining my own rods out of 7075 T-6 just to stop them from blowing up caused by SWAG Engineering ( scientific wild ass guess)
