I think that the straight drum reduces the static case volume as the intake tract is on the carb side of the rotor valve. This should help the pumping efficiency of the case. But may also hurt the lubrication of the crank pin. Everything is a tradeoff in design.

We testing two weeks ago the geardrive engine and the power is nearly the same then the normal intake, we measure via stalker radar gun.

Is the internal diameter of the drum rotor in the 91VAC the same as the 91HR?

Another advantage is the ability to machine the straight version from bar stock instead of a casting. That would cheaper since there is no mold.........
