CMB 21 LS Quesion

Hi Guys,

Can someone tell me whether I can use the piston, liner and conrod of the CMB 21 LS greenhead black crankcase into a CMB 21 LS greenhead silver crankcase? I want to rebuild my silvercase greenhead, but the local shop only has the parts for blackcase greenhead. They say its interchangeable between the two, and more so better power with the blackcase liner. I notice that aside from the color the look of the silvercase is a little bit different than the blackcase, so I am a little bit skeptical....Just want to make sure, Thanks!

BTW, do you know if CMB have fixed the crankpin problem of the 45 Evo 2/2? I mailed the damaged crankpin/conrod to CMB, still no news. My engine have been sitting around for about 2 months waiting for the new conrod to arrive. Just want to make sure if I want to give the new crankpin/conrod a final try or to scrap the engine altogether...Thanks!

As far as I know they havn't made the new 45 crankpins yet. Probably be sometime in January.
