Clubs in Ames, Iowa area?

My daughter and her husband moved to Ames, Iowa last month. Are there any clubs in that area? jj

Not active clubs. There is a club in the quad cities but its not really active.

there is no test lakes with in 3 hrs of ames.. i live in ankeny.. been in this for over 25 yrs.. no place to go.. trust me if there was i would be all over it.

The Twin Cities Model Boat Club is about 3 1/2 hrs North of Chris in Eagan Mn. Private pond with gated entrance available to members of the club. Usually 5 to 6 scheduled races from May through October.

We have put on several d 4 races inclueding a district championship and the 2000 internats how many races have you put on Rodney or even entered or helped to put on

Pete, Im not entering into an argument with you, nor arguing with what you guys have done in the past. If there is an active club in the area, let Jenny know. Get her your guys info and dates that you have races or club events and Im sure she will pass it on.

Im not a member of the club, so have not helped put on any races.
