CLEANING CAST RESIN PARTS

I thought I cleaned my resin driver figure and exhaust stacks well. I brush painted them with acrylic enamel from a jar. I wash everything in warm soapy water before painting. The paint peeled off of everything very easily. what tips do you have for cleaning and painting. Thanks.

Make sure that everything is sanded with 320 before painting. It needs a semi porous surface to bond to. Also primer is never a bad idea.
