Hi

I am currently trying to design my own Cat hull for a 45.

I was just woundering what the vee in the tunnel was for?

Also any other ideas that might help me would be great.

Thanks

Bruce ;D

I think that I know this one! It works like an airplane wing does helping to stabilize the hull when it's "flying" on it's cushion of air. It's called dihedral. If the Vee goes upwards, it's anhedral. It also can be used to lower the engine in the hull for a lower CG.

Thanks Ron

Here are some pictures from auto cad of what I have got so far.

The boat is 36inches long and 14inches wide. It has 1 degree of dihedral on each sponson and 3 degrees angel of attack. I used these numbers because someone in m club told me to. I have no idea if they will work. I am only 14 and this is the first cat i have designed so any comments or ideas would help me a lot.

Thanks again

Bruce ;D
