I came across this on facebook today. A dude was building these models and painting them up. They are the size of a dollar bill. What I want to know is, what boat is he trying to represent. I think it might be the '72 The Walther Special U-77. I know it is not scale. I jsut like the paint scheme. If you look at the 71 Country Boy, you can see the cowl and the tail feathers have the same paint scheme. I cant get on David's site to check. Striking out with google too. So here it is on old IW.

Nice catch, Joe. I was thinking Country Boy or Redman, just couldn't place the paint scheme.
Mike, if you go to the HARM, there is a case hanging on the wall with at least 30 boats of similar size in it. I'm sure David Williams can tell you who made them, might be the same person

Yes, like your 5th picture Joe. I see it says 71. They must of changed the color during the season.

Yeah, 71 Country Boy. I believe it ran with the painted hull at the season finally in Dallas after they blew up a Merlin through the finished wood deck at the previous race in Oregon.

The painted version never ran. It was a new build. Sold to Bernie and converted to a rear seat and ran as the Bud. The wood deck was the later Redman.
