I was looking through some photos and came across this one of one of my 3S Kneelers with a brushless motor installed on the AquaCraft outboard that was originally used on the AQ bass boat. The original engine used a brushed motor and the lower unit had a bevel gear. This was back when Mike Z. was working for AQ and sent me the motor to see how long the brass gears would last with brushless power. I built the boat as a test bed. The brass gears wouldn't hold up for more than 4 or 5 runs so that was the end of that project. Too bad because the engine was scale appearing.
