Alan,

These were sold in 1972. It was to promote the construction of the

"new"

Miss Madison, which was a copy of the 1971 Atlas Van Lines. The people

around Madison were still thrilled about the '71 Gold Cup win, so

everyone

collected anything that had the boat on it. I know of three, unopened

cases

that is still in Madison. Every now and then I run into someone who

still

has an unopened one. Empty ones go for $40 to $80 on eBay. I got mine

in

the late '80s at an antique shop in Nashville, IN for $12. No hydro

memorabilia collection is complete without one, especially if you're

from

the Midwest.

Hello Alan, I don't remember the exact year but I think I was only 12 to

14

yrs old. So that would be around 1966 to 1968. You might find something

on

the internet because of some of the drivers came from owensboro. Bill

Starrett, Jim McCormick are 2 of the drivers from here. Catch you later,

Bruce
