80 Crapshooter cowl

Does anyone know if there is a crapshooter style cowl that fits a MAC84 carb setup? Sent a PM to Stu, and am waiting for a reply. but am looking for options.

Don't think so as the Shooters are built with CMB motors in mind.

Jon just mod the 60 shooter cowl with carbon fiber or fiberglass,I did that on A 80 Jag.

I probably will wind up making a plug from one of the existing cowls or a new one. But doesn't the 90HR have the same angled carb setup as the MAC84?

I belive your new-to-you Shooter was built before the MAC's and HR's. Just a guess.

Your new ride looks like fun! Hope to see it run in person some day.

Yes Buckshot, you're probably very correct. Though the MAC was out at that time, with the LONG ventury carb; the HR was not out yet as I recall...LOL

I hope to make it out your way in the next few years. Will also bring a twin MAC84 SGX hybrid with me.......

Thank you Ty. I've been wanting a 'shooter for years. Picked up a 21 Diamond back last month which is a 21 sized version of a 'shooter.......

No 91HR 's carb too big than MAC84 will hit on cowl ( no room). Will you build custom cowl

Yes Allan, it looks like I will be making a custom cowl, but with as much of the clasic Crapshooter lines as possible.

Take one of my Eagle SG / X glass cowls and afix to a piece of G- 10 and trim to fit .
