Stephen,
What kind of 21-Hydro do you have?
Is it a production kit boat or something
that someone made up? Lots of questions.
What is the weight of the boat, motor being
used, fuel ⛽️ %, what tuned pipe on the motor?
Any pictures of your boat? Lots of options for
a 21-Hydro.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Hi Mark,

Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. Jason Pomerleau who’s a local up here in district 11 makes the kits. It’s a replica of a full size Grand Prix. He suggested that prop I’m looking for. I know Joe has a copy of them but I’m looking for one that’s balanced and sharpened. I’m putting a CMB in it. So if you have a different idea, please let me know.

Oh it's a sport hydro not a outrigger. Here's a few options:

Stephen,
One word of caution about copies, they usually
don’t work as well as the original.
You may want to try an ABC 1714, 1614 or 1514.
Much better casting quality with many more pitch
and diameter options. Also, if it is like our Sport 20
Hydros here in the United States you may need a
little less diameter like the 1600 or 1500 series
propellers. Still have not seen any pictures?

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Mark, I’m still building the hull. Here’s where it’s at currently.

Stephen,

I would start a 1514-19*-38% or 1514-17*-45% first.
It will depend how deep the sponsons are in the air trap.
Also, it will depend a lot on how light it runs on the water
and the weight distribution on the front sponsons.

Thanks For Reading,

Mark Sholund

Here’s where the sponsons meet the hull. It’s 1”
