41 Boats, 11 racers and growing !

Hey Guys here are the race latest updates.

First off I'm happy to announce that that George and Jennifer Santiago have volunteered to help run our upcoming race. For those that do not know them, they are the Father Daughter team from the Orlando Culvert Dodgers club that greatly contributed to such a good race at the Orlando Winter Nationals. George seemed to be everywhere running the pits and making sure everyone was ready prior to each heat. (The Pit Boss). Jennifer did an incredible job as one of the CD's at the event. In most of the FE crowd's opinion, she was the very best of the CD's that ran the event. This should make our race even better than last year.

We are also accepting class sponsors at $25 per class and we are still in need of an event sponsor at $100. Our club feels that just like the entry fees we will try to keep the sponsorships as reasonable as possible in these tuff financial times. Please contact me (Ken Haines) or Bud Johansen if anyone is interested in class or event sponsorships.

Sponsors to date:

Jim Slaughter at mini-cat racing is sponsoring - LSH class

Don Wollard at Rum-Runner Racing is sponsoring - P-Limited Hydro

Don Wollard at Rum Runner Racing is sponsoring - P-Mono

Thanks, Jim and Don

Racers please sign up as soon as possible so that we can continue planning with a better idea of how many racers that we will have.

Thanks, Ken

Ken,

Sadly I can't make the trip. Just too much going on here, business and personal. But if you would, put Smock Racing down for sponsorship of P-Limited OPC.

You guys keep up the good work!!

Doug

A huge thank you to George and Jennifer Santiago for coming down from the Orlando Culverts Club helping to run our race. Thank you to Mike Martin who also stopped by and gave some welcomed CD relief in the afternoon.

Thanks to the whole Florida West Coast gang for coming to support our event once again. Ray Rankl, Jim Slaughter, Jeff Westbrook, Mike Harvey, Hugh Ebner, and Pete Forcier, you guys are the best. Great also to have the remainder of the Florida guys to our north also join us again, Thanks; Reed Eagle, Don Wollard, and Jason Sims, you guys made the race.

Special thanks to the Wave Blasters members who did another awesome job pulling off this event; Bud Johansen "All the computer scoring", Bill Plevik, and Mackey Rogers for assisting Bud with the race administration. Terry Cowger SR. for an excellent job of key decision making and presentations, Rick Workman for setting up the main canopy, safety barriers and being our overnight security guard. Carl Slater for a great job manning the rescue boat. Marty Ehrman thanks for the fantastic photos. On Saturday the really good food was courtesy of Phil Hale, Paul & Jeff Mainville, and Bob Meinhardt, great job we all enjoyed the picnic.

Additional thanks the the remainder of the Wave Blasters who also provided help where ever needed throughout the whole weekend;Terry Cowger Jr, Mark & Brandon Groothouse, Ron Desmond, Bill Tripp, Jeff Shipley, Bob Rahberg, and Bruce Childers. I apologize if I missed anyone.

Sorry to run on and on, but these events take a lot of help from many people.

It looks to me as though we are ready to host the "011 FE Nationals".

Unless things change it will be held sometime in May of 2011.

Hope everyone can make plans to attend.

OK, OK, OK here are the final results see:
