I was bored at work, so I started to think about something new...a rigger powered by two .12 engines

What do you think about the idea of building a twin .12 twin rigger?

here comes a picture of the finished rigger.

....ok it is a "virtual" rigger so far ;D

Cool picture.

We experimented with this idea a while back. The VP programs said that a single .21 would produce a better P/W ratio.

The other problem was that the wide tub created lift like a tunnel hull and would be almost impossible to keep on the water at anything over 50 MPH.

But who knows untill you actually try it. The programs have been wrong before.

It sure would be neat to hear those little .12's screaming away in harmony across the pond.

well it would be cool to see.... and with .12's being so reliable it might make for a reliable twin.... no easy thing.....

it would have to race in the .45 engine class..... boats going near 80mph!....

for a fun project it would be cool i think!

I think that it would run in IMPBA "C" hydro, too big for "B" and too small for "D". Not too many boats running in that class. .258 cu.in.
