Hey Guys,

Here's an update shot of my 1/8th Atlas. She should be seeing paint next week. As it sits it weighs in at 3 pounds 8 ounces, the boat weighs less than the batteries to run it. :D

Hi Watercadet,

Thanks, this is my first 1/8th scale boat. I'm hoping it runs well but on electric power it's anybodies guess at this point, lol. :D

How many or I guess what kind of cells are you planing? 3lbs 8oz is great, I hope you have lite paint:)

 3 1/2 pounds! That's incredibly light! I just weighed my much smaller 36" Dumas SK Daddle which is in about an equivalent state of completion and it weighs 2 lb 9 oz :( . Your boat is much bigger and mine is just an open hull with a closed deck. Lots less wood than yours! Mine should be half your weight.

I've got a Dumas 1/8 scale Miller American that I may start on later this summer or in the fall. At least you've given me something to shoot for!
