    Loctiteing shafts

    Loctite 2701 works for me :rolleyes: Never had a problem, never came loose! some german manufacturers sell loctited shafts. 2701 starts braking between 28-60 Nm of torque. :blink: But I think it is important to have a good fit and no real gap. Robert

    I don't have a .12 but maybe this is helpful: I am between 6.5" and 6.75" with my .18 TZ & Andy's 21ST pipe.

    I start at the plug, follow the center of the header and stop at the pipe's joint.

    Received my AB 21 ST pipes and had a chance for a short test session today... HOLY ****!!! B) Lots of torque & lots of revs!!! That is how I like a pipe :D

    Received my AB 21 ST pipes and had a chance for a short test session today... HOLY ****!!! B) I set the pipe to 6.5" (plug to the joint), had no problems launching props which used to cause minor troubles with the same setup but a "old" Brown 21 S pipe @7.5" Lots of torque, lots of revs...

    Well Andy...I think about trying one of your pipes...but which one for a .18 TZ powered SGX15??? What is a recommended pipe length? I can find "best length" recommendations for your "old" pipes only. :( Robert

    I have a OS 18 TZ in my SGX15 and I run a Andy Brown 21 S pipe @ 7" with good results.

    I did some more testing yesterday... Head-button was cleaned, pipe was set to 10.5" (from plug to end of flat band), prop 1655 s&b First I stayed on the really rich side and made some laps, than I started to lean it out and it began to sing :D Maybe not yet 100% top performance but way...

    Thanks for all your input! I will go testing again within the next couple of days. Cowl is going to be opened and pipe shortened to see if top end gets better. My progress is going to be posted her. Thanks again, Robert

    I maidened my new SGX 45 today. It is set up according to the included setup-sheet. Engine is a new 2007 CMB 45 HR (completely stock), pipe is one of Andy's new 45 XT with extra muffling set to 25cm / 9.85" (measured from plug to end of pipes's first cone where the thread starts). Engine fired...

    New .21 outrigger

    well...I never had hopping-problems with these graupner carbon props on any of my boats since these props are already low lifting ones. try some rearshoes / sponsons to stabilize the tub's riding height. maybe you need more / less weight on your prop. is it possible that your turnfin is...
