Agreed safety is never compromised by me whether I'm flying helis planes or boats. It's best to keep the hobby fun an not risk injury! When my boat clipped the bank it was the far side (unfortunately verical concrete bank) where there is no access(or people,). I do not run it close to the lakeside.

The trouble I have is trying to get the flex shaft out of the collet to grease the flex shaft after running. The only easy way I have found is starting the motor up with the collet loosened . Would be interested if there is an easier way!

The small model helicopter tail rotor drive toothed belts also look like a good candidate too. I have a few hanging around from my 450 that I will test....
