I've been searching everywhere I can think of and I can't find one. I would like brass or aluminum and preferably one that can swivel.Fixed is ok too.

I checked McMaster and could only find 10-32. Does anyone know a source of these in 8-32?

Thanks

Glenn

5 mm 90 Degree water nipples

Hobbyking has a 90 degree 5mm fitting with removable nipple. All brass. It's listed in their gas engine hardware. Good quality and dirt cheap.

5mm is very close to 10-32. I'm looking for a fitting that is threaded 8-32 male so it can thread into an existing 8-32 female thread. They seem impossible to find in 8-32. Does anyone custom make these?

Are you looking for the little small ones for pipe pressure ? They go in from the inside and the nut outside the pipe body ?

Daniel - no, that's not the style I'm looking for. I know what you mean though.

Brad - the Accu-tech style is perfect but looks like it only comes in 10-32 thread.

By the way, I recently purchased a few tuned pipe pressure fittings which mount from the inside-out. Stupid question: how does one install one of these just beyond the weld seam (or center of pipe)?
Dave, feed fishing line through pressure hole out headed end of pipe. Slip fitting on line, work it up the pipe and out the hole and add nut.

ah, I see, thanks! I knew there must be some sort of "trick" to install from inside

Arrrgh. Aeromarine is 10-32, and I can't find any 90 degree fittings from Dubro. I did find a fitting with 4mm course thread, and one with 4.5 X .75 mm. I found this one from Traxxas which doesn't say what the thread is. Most likely metric.

Didn't think this would be so difficult. I might have to make one. I guess I could cut a 45 deg angle in a straight one and solder on a tube and a barb.

Is tapping the holes to 10-32 and option I have done this before and used a needle valve to control flow, if you get too much with larger fitting.

Wow - thanks for everyone's response on this thread. I called Pneuline Supply and they have lots of elbow fittings - mostly in 10-32 but some in 3-56 and 6-32 threads. Nothing in 8-32 at all and can't get any. They said the dental industry uses some 8-32 fittings but I searched and couldn't find any. It seems that 10-32 is the industry standard on this stuff.

I also got hold of Brian Buaas and he makes a really nice elbow fitting with 8-32 thread and a smooth radius, but the I.D. is .060" which is pretty small for water on a 40 boat.

I'm pretty exhausted working on this search so I think I'll live with a straight fitting until I can get my lathe up and running. I should be able to make one from some some brass hex stock, thread one end, cross drill it and thread in a nipple. I'll tackle that later.

Thanks again

Glenn

I think I heard it mentioned already and positive you know you have this option.

You might have already mentioned why but is there a reason isn't possible to just tap it up to 10-32.

Daniel I have looked into that and there is not sufficient wall thickness to drill and tap to 10-32. Sure wish there was, that would give me lots more options.

Got me thinking though, if the ID of the fitting would allow it, maybe I could start with a 10-32, reduce the OD to the correct size and run an 8-32 Die over it. Threads are the same pitch .........
