New ops .45 engine pipe length

Depends on the application and how you prop out your boats. If you lug a bigger prop (diameter and pitch) you could run it at 10-5/8 " from plug to weld on the pipe. This was on an old 45 rigger pulling a 1462 prop. The pipe got shorter and shorter but pulling smaller diameter props like...

    Chunky engines

YUP a midway support would be recommended to limit the amplitude of the vibration. The engine vibration is only one part. The boat will be running in choppy water at high speed and that will shake/jar the sugger out of the boat. A greesed nylon guide tied to that center rib should do nicely...

    Prop balancer

you can get that top flight balancer to work but you have to take care in the setup. First thing is to reduce the distance between the magnets and the rod to a minimum. you want both magnets pulling almost equally strong against the rod so it doesn't press hard into either side and but lightly...

Starter box with Dewalt LiFe battery.

Yup 3A usually gets it for most plugs. Didn't know if you were running some ultra cold plugs that would need 4+a to glow hot. One last test is to fill an old plug with some water and see if it can burn off the water. When the plug is not lit it looks like a much smaller resistor than 0.5 ohms...

Starter box with Dewalt LiFe battery.

Looks like a pretty good sized module so they might have enough output capacitance to deal with the output current pulses. DC-DC switcher is the way to go anyway so you don't generate so much heat. Good luck.

Were you able to get 5A from it for your cold plugs?

    CMB 45 Gold top

The HR will have much higher timing than the original gold head EVO. if you don't machine the block to match the ports you'll have some restrctions to the flow. Be carefull you don't raise the block passage height so high that you go through the outside of the block though. Best P/S I found...
