Here is the front mounting tab that slides under the 3/8" x 3/8" block that was shaped, cut & glued to the deck extension made earlier in the build. The cowl tab is also made from the same 3/8" x 3/8" block (also shaped the same as the the cowl extension block) & epoxied to the cowl. Both of these were cut using the piece supplied in the kit that normally goes on the front of the cowl as a template. Then a short section of 1/8" ply is CA'd to the block on the cowl to fit snugly under the block on the deck extension underside. This set up will hold the front of the cowl quite well yet release easily if it has to. Also note the padding added to the fuel tank pocket.
