Here I add the silicone dots to isolate the fuel tanks from vibration. I prefer to use the Permatex clear silicone sealant/adhesive as not only does it remain pliable to dampen any hull vibrations being an adhesive it also stays put (I use the same stuff to attach the Prather pushrod seals). The tank on the left shows the dots cut down with an X-Acto knife after drying and the one one the right is next to be trimmed. I recommend at least a 24 hour cure time before you attempt to trim down the silicone.
