Since the rear sponsons are designed to be held in place with 3M heavy duty automotive trim tape there are no threaded mounting holes. To make life easier sealing and painted the rears I drilled two small 3/16" holes up high where the 3M tape will be and epoxied in dowels rods to use for holding the sponsons while the sealing and painting is done. Once that is completed the dowel will be cut off flush, sealed and touched up.
