Fellas,

We have been playing with a few different profiles recently,

and a few of them have worked rather well. :D

I guess I should just keep all my testing results to myself,

some don't appreciate the help. I guess they already know it all.

Keep Testing,

i have a 1914 that runs well at 45mm with the excessive cup ground out, stock profile..

i have not tried a 2014 but the 1914 was junk for me.. AGAIN this is on my boat only.

Tried the stock ABC 6717-3 you sent me but could not get it to stay hooked up at all on my boat. any tips on modding it?

I've tested a back cut 1914 a few times and I like it's handling characteristics a lot. It's proven to be a great heat race prop. Unfortunately for outright speed it's still 2mph slower than my best H7 on my boat at the pond where I test. Given it's L/E pitch and diameter, it gives the impression of being a smaller prop than it really is, which makes me think there is more to come from it with the right tweaks.

Aaron,

I give you the information to go faster, but if I could show

you pictures that would really help you more. I am going to

take a Fall computer class so I can post some pictures. I guess

giving you racers some of the basics is still not enough for some

of you. I work very long and hard at developing different propellers

that work well for others, but they do not work for everybody. Ask

Chris Wood, a lot of designs don't work that well on different set ups.

If you want to go faster try a 1450 or H-7 profile into a 2014 or 1914.

It will run pretty well. This reminds me of a saying "you can lead a horse

to the water, but you can't make him drink it". I don't have enough time

to show you all my new test information. It is funny how some people want

it all done for them. I try to get a lot of you guys in the ball park, but I

cannot swing the bat for you. :D Nothing personal in this post just good reading fellas.

I try to help as much as I can, but you know this is a business also. Thanks for reading!!!

mark,

it is very easy to post pics, just save them to your pc, i use my phone usually, and then hit the attach this file at the bottom of where you write your reply and find it where you saved it on your pc, very easy...

you are right, if you gave 5 people the same prop, all 5 people would have different things to say about it..

but just saying everoyone should try a 19 or 2014 with a different profile is just adding fuel to the imaginary fire, if you said try a 1914 profile with an h7 profile there would be a lot less wondering and a lot less people thinking you were being a smart ass..

Mark

Again you give up your secrets. Thanks for the info . For some one that dose this for a business you are very gracious with your info.

David

P.S. Some horses are smarter than others.

Mark

no need to tech me about the abc 19.. etc i have been running them for years.

as i'm running well over 80mph+ with my 21 rigger with some of these propellers.

i set the OZ 21 and 45 2 lap records with these propellers,

nothing new to me at all...

regards Aaron

I have tried a 1914 with similar results to Tim Duggan. I have tried a few different mods to a couple of them and like the handling and ease of launch but mine are still a little slower than my best Octura props. I have tried cutting down a 1916 and this looked promising, but I havent tried it enough yet. Some of the larger sizes can be good on larger boats, a modified 2716 worked well for me on a 101 powered hydro.

Aaron,

Why don't you share some pictures with us since you are so fast with

21 hydros? One more thing, if you have been running them for years why

didn't you share some of your information on them years ago? I guess

this hobby is all about secrets.

Martin,

If people think I am being a smart ass I guess I will just quit posting.

The people that really know me, know that I help a lot of boaters out with more

than just propellers.

Come on guys, This is getting us no where. Please stop the attacking each other. I have used both props from Aaron and Mark. You guys both do some fantasic work on props, please just leave it at that and keep doing the good work to help us all go faster.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Paul,

You are so right.

I'm done helping the ungrateful people in this hobby I love.
