We are putting a club together here in North Florida. Thinking about putting on a race. Nitro Hydros only! .21 rigger, .45 rigger, .67 rigger, Single F/X rigger, Twin Rigger, Sport .45, 1/8 Scale Unlimited.

5 quailfying rounds. Top six qualifiers run a 3 round final.

Tenetive date May/June 2013.

I have been listening to input from others. It seems like some wish to run their singles against twins, so we will probably offer Normal F hydro class.

Talked to some 1/8 Scale guys. They suggested offering Gas Thunderboat, because many of them have both. But then they will be asking about Gas Sport hydro, Gas rigger, Twin Gas rigger. Could turn out to be a really big HYDRO race that way. Thoughts? All NITRO only? Or all Hydro including gas?

Offer the F Hydro AND the F Hydro single engine class, max CID of 1.05". Guarantee you will get more entries that way. I would love an all nitro race. Would be almost like a southern hydro masters.

It was on my list of races to attend, but that was before the Nitro Internats fell into my lap. I am absolutely smoked with work for the internats that I cannot attend. Just to show how much work it has been I have not put a boat into the water since November and that is SAD!!

Yes ..I am doing my part as much as I can !! Part of it I think is the wealth of knowledge being shared on here regarding operational problems and techniques regarding fuel systems and pipes , and propellers etc . I have been doing this a long time but i have learned quite a bit in the last 3 or 4 years on this forum and with guys from this forum at the races . Big thanks to all the guys contributing on the tech. issues !!

Andy...........I know you are All Hydro................But F MONO is All the Nitro in the World.....Don't leave it out. Most of the Guys that will attend with Hydro have a mono..................One Class OPEN NITRO MONO!!!

I agree completely Tom , I think the people of I.W. have helped to take a lot of the mystery out of Nitro racing and that's a great thing.

I am also wondering if maybe it's a sign that the economy is finally starting to turn around for my American friends?

I sure hope so.
