any video????
I am at the pond by my self most of the time.

Hard to drive and shoot a video.

Looks like metime will not be at the Winter Nat's. Very sad to here that the funding was not there for them.

I will see if I can get some on my camera this sat after we set up the lake.

David
Your in luck Dave - RcRacing Events is gonna do a live feed.

Andy

Look what the snail mail dropped on my door step today.

Will see how it runs this weekend. Will run it around the buoys after we set up for the Winter Nat's.

One of the perks of being a working member.

Got a fresh gallon of Otto's 65% to make it sing and a new prop from Mark.

The GUN is out of the holster and cocked!!!!!!!!!!

David
That pipe looks awesome. I love the overall shape of the pipe with a nicely angled divergence cone and what looks to be an appropriately sized belly when you take into consideration balancing pipe flow with back and resonance. Does this guy make any .21 sized pipes too?

Broke my new pipe. :(

Wind was blowing hard and the chop was big. the stinger broke off at the weld.

Luckily I got it to shore with it still held on by the rubber grommet on the mount.

The weight of the muffler and the bad chop combined almost ended in disaster.

Only got one tank thew it almost.

This pipe will suck the fuel right out of the tank. Got the BM meter under 30 and still took a plug.

The RPMS will go over the top. need more load on the Eng to keep it under control.

All the testing to this point is out the window. It is a whole different world with this pipe.

Its on a relay to Tom thew Andy as we speak. Tom is going to weld some gussets on the stinger for support.

Don't think I will run it in the race. need more prop to run this beast. No time to tune it or prop it up.

Going to need more crab for this set up. more like a fire hose.

David, glad to hear you got to try it.Too bad it broke, that's a 1st!

These pipes like load....and fuel! Load and fuel, that's how ya roll baby!

The big? Does it show potential?

If I can get a big enough prop for it.

MARK HELP I NEED A BIGGER PROP.

You can see it will pull right over the top and the throttle will do any thing.

I know it sound stupid but I think it has to much power for my boat to handle.

I will talk with Andy and John this week at the race and see what thy think on a new boat.

You where not kidding when you said it need fuel. I can see where a Eng that is not properly set up will be trashed the first time out.

The potential is there for sure. just need time to catch up to the pipe.

David,

You have enough carb and I can put one more inch of pitch into that propeller.

With Scott's pipe you just need to learn how to Re-tune your set up. :)

His pipes hit hard and draw a lot of fuel and they definitely need more load

that is for sure. We just need to adjust a few things and you will have your

100 MPH wish. Believe it or not you are pretty close. :) David did I not tell

you that you will need a longer boat soon? 4" more will do the trick.

Great News On The Set Up David.

Now We Have Somthing To Work With, :)

Well Had a little set back in testing at the Winter Nat's. First Eng failure. :(

Pulled the pin bosses out of the piston in round 1 leading the race. then got run over and riped the transom out again!

Hurt the piston testing the new pipe on Sat. could not feed the Eng enough fuel and sagged the piston.

Time for a new carb set up.

Have a few design bouncing around in my head  My buddy Dick Jones showed me a carb he had designed that I was thinking about doing. Have had that Simplex -Crane carb bouncing around in my head since I did the rebuild on on one.

Kind a scary we where thinking the same. Dick you are a bad influence on me. Now you showed me how it is done.I won't get any sleep for a month.

But one thing did go right. Can you say MW3 on a X mono. Yes Dick thats your falt also.

Will keep you all posted on the testing.

so you like my MW3??

David,

I have something better than the MW-3 for your set up.

Bummer that your engine didn't hold up for the contest.

I think you are going to have to review some of the racing

strategy? So you need: new propeller, new carb, and new piston?

Not a problem! Call me when you have some time?

Hope You Had Fun,

The failure that David had was casused a few weeks back. Unless he was doing a inspection after every run he would not have seen it coming.

I disassemble the eng after every run to see what is going on. that is when I found the sag in the piston after testing the pipe on Sat.

I new it was coming. Dam the torpedo's full steam ahead.

I'm not that stupid Chuck.
