Someone once said, "Why show a quarter when only a dime will do?"

Here's my dime, how about yours? :D

just stirrin' the pot...

Great running boat Jeff, we have got a few in the Burg that are running very good ready for Hobart Props 4 U. Has really been helpful :D

Bob and the outher Bob B)

Looks good, Jeff. I bet you were faster than what the gun read, because of the angle you were shooting from. Darn good speeds for such a small motor. Richard D

I'm still waiting for mine to come back from the painter's then have to throw it back together to see if I'm going to enter it this year. My JAE gas 'rigger finally hit the water today and that one ran very well for its first time out. Mine should be here this week.

Fellas,

Keep testing, I was out today with some new propellers that I just finished up,

and all I can say you may need more than 60 + MPH to stay out front in Hobart.

74 MPH was the best run we logged in today on our 12 hydro with two different

pipes and two completely different set ups. RPM's are way up on both new pipes.

Boat is not a JAE -12 that we tested today, but I have a Superlite 12 just about

ready for the water.

Thanks For Reading,

Mark Sholund

mark,

what are the pipes you tested? i ran 78 back in the spring when i had some good weather and that was with a macs pipe..

Martin,

They were two new pipes that we made here at a welding shop in

Traverse City,Michigan. Boat is running well. I don't even want

to talk about the 21 boat. I think I will just put it away and

bring it to Hobart in Sept. :D

We haven't even put the new motors in the boats yet.

Thanks For Reading,

Make sure your fast boats can handle race water :) . Those are some super speeds :D Bob and Bob are doing good more testing.

Watch the motors heat now that the temperature is up. You my to add some water if you are not using water. We are testing at a summer lake

I like it a lot. It's located in Slippery Rock Pa. At 108 and Us 79.

Enjoy the Holiday

welding shop, hmmm you must have talked to rod.....

Martin,

Actually I just changed some numbers on a old pipe that I

Liked years ago and it worked real good. I seem to use the

Hit or miss method and this was a hit.

Thanks,

Wow! mid to high 70's sounds more like quarters to me!

I'd love to see them scream that fast in Hobart! I think I can crack 60 mph with more pipe / prop tuning and the bone stock engine. The hard thing will be getting upstairs in rpm consistently enough to test.

We will see come September!

I bet the Preusse boats will be fast too!

It seems like Gary's mini-Hawk ran around 78 at the Flint record trials, mostly on the prop and rudder using an RB for power and a V-940 prop. Terry or one of the other FAST guys might know. David's been building a lot of JAE's plus making the ABS cowls so no telling what he'd be bringing to the show.

It was funny that Gary wanted Dumas to make his .12 'rigger but they felt that there wasn't a market for one! Their loss. :D

Whatever happens at Hobart is going to be interesting as people are finally finding out what a lot of us .12 lovers have known for years, they're fast, cheap and tons of fun!

Oh yeah, mine is shipping out today so I should have it before the weekend for reassembly.

ANYONE USED GLENS TEXAS PIPE AND HEADER ON THERE ENGINES?

Hey Jeff

Always good to see some one prove what they ran

I think mine ran 175 the other night but darn it I didn't get it on tape

Nice job
I have a boat thats been about 560mph, but thats while it was in the air on the jet :p

Will,

What jet was going 560?

I am familiar with the triple 7, as we have them in Delta

Air Lines fleet. Nice ride up in first isn't it? It is

the best way to get from DTW to ATL in style. :D

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Yes there is under the IMPBA, it's the "A" hydro class. Engine size limit is .129 cu. in.
