Terry, thanks for posting this. Keeping my fingers crossed for good weather. Told Ron to put those dates in his calendar

Terry are you going to put the results up on here on the records? Also is Bill cummings still helping you bee a while since i been in mich to tace or watch the trials. Robert

I wish that I could show up but have too many things on the plate this weekend already with my one day off. The Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour is rolling into town tomorrow and then I have to go to my wife's company picnic after that. I'm also missing out on the Greekfest downtown as I love Greek food!

MMMM!, Spinach pie, stuffed grape leaves and baklava!

Now I'll wait to see what I missed............

Yeah, we're getting our butts soaked up here for the next few hours. Unfortunately we do need the rain up here though as we haven't gotten that much so far this year.

Looks like they are about to get rained on .......
Yup,

It's raining here also and headed that way.

We were semi lucky yesterday at the trials. Most of the rain missed us and we only had one short shower.

Not bad. There was a nice breeze, but a little hindrance for the runs and the humidity was high.

I hope they end up with a good window to run sometime today.

And while I'm here I would like to thank everyone there for a good time and for everyones hospitality and help.Gosh,I need it!

Especially Terry and Mike for all there hard work setting up the site.

Terry,Mike,& Mark,

Thanks for everything you guys do to make this event happen year in and year out.

The weather wasn't too good, but we made the best of it.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Yes, inquiring minds want to know!

If the weather was anything like what we had on Sunday it must have been close to a washout.

Just got my second night of 10+ hrs sleep and starting to feel semi normal again. :)

Small turnout this event due to the late date and race in Celina but personal commitments forced our hand.

Saturday was flat water most of the day but with temps up to 88F and high humidity it was tough to go fast. Franco had his 20 Seaducer haulin' and made several passes in the high 50's, very good in the heat.

Air was better Sunday (at 95%) but was a challenge with rain starting around 10am and continuing most of the day. Gary and David Preusse got 2 runs in with their S20 and upped the SAW record to 60.370 mph, surly woulda re-set the oval too if they had a chance.

Franko lent Mike his killer NR 20 to put in his C record boat and made some passes that averaged 90+, but only had the thing "turn on" half way into the traps, if it wasn't goin' 100+ when it hit the second octave, I'll eat my hat!

Mark Sholund came down to test his new Nowicki hull with the CMB 101, showed great promise, thanks for the help again Mark!

Huge thanks to Mike Nowicki and especially Mark Stein for all their hard work, Mark wrecked his truck the Wednesday before and still came to haul the retrieve boat in a truck Mike lent him, that kind of unselfishness and dedication to others is very rare these days!

I'll post some pix shortly, look for us this fall Sept 29, 30...
