I know that most receivers come with standard 6.0v battery packs. But I recently saw someone using a small Duracell 9.6v battery connected to their receiver. Does the amount of voltage getting to the receiver matter? Could I use a 9.6v battery instead of that hefty 6.0v pack?

I never seen a 9.6 volt set up.

Most servos are rated for 4.8 and 6.0 volts.

I use the 5 cells hump pack for 60 volts, I think its around 2000 mah. they work great, but dont like the moisture, batteries corrode up. So sealed them with sicilcone and been ok sence.

if you have pics or if anyone does use the 9.6 volt set up, I would like to see some pics. or if it will burn out the servos.

If you have a BEC reciever you can use a nine volt but the amp hours will not be there stick with six volts
