Life Battery Management

I use an 1800 MAH Protech LiFE receiver pack in my Backlash and a 2100 mah LIFE pack in my Futaba 7pxr. Being used to Nicad packs of the 90’s, I’m awestruck with the fact that I can run the boat all day long and it still registers all or most of the volts from a full charge. So my question is, what sort of battery management should I be doing with these? Should they be topped off before next day of running? Should they be cycled down to a certain voltage and brought back up? I’ve heard they hold a high level of charge and drop off quickly. So how is everyone managing these?

your LIFE packs can be topped off anytime and as often as you like.. for long storage they should be placed at storage voltage. Yes.. it is just that simple! Nice eh!

I always look at what I put back in them so I know how much reserve I have. My transmitter battery lasts forever

right on.. make a run.. and recharge.. my tunnel uses a bout 25mah per run.. my EC145 Heli uses about 275.. so its GOOD TO KNOW!
