etrex(yellow) for my big boats can give me good data on the straightways.I found out that during turns at full speed errors can occur comparing numbers with a Stalker radar gun.Gill

I have tried the Voltron unit in my JAE21:

Checking against my Stalker I found it was not consistent, it would randomly read 10kph or so higher or lower than I was getting on the radar. I dont use it anymore. It may be the high G turns upset it. I have used Garmin Forerunners in my 90 mono and they seem consistent.

Best one out there is the Voltron gps data logger for models. It is small enough to fit inside a pill bottle with the lipo battery making it waterproof. Go to www.velocity-rc.com and get one. Herzog racing is also selling them over on Jim's boat dock.

I just looked into the data logger and it seems cool . Anyone else try this compact little unit ?
