For Sale: OPS 67 & pipes

For Sale: OPS 67 & PIPES. Sitting around for years. Can anyone use this engine or pipes. The engine ran fine some 5 years ago, oiled it and put it out of sight out of mind. Found it today, great compression, appears it might need bearings they feel rough when rolled over. I know nothing about...

For Sale CMDI Eagle SGX 67 RTR

Charles, rigger is heading your way. Ouch-on the shipping. I'll pm your tracking #, Please pm me back when you receive. The two most compliments on the rigger besides the WOW's were the paint and the pipe. And yes, one pipe section had come loose. Andy advised using the highest temp pipe...

For Sale CMDI Eagle SGX 67 RTR

For Sale Eagle SGX 67 RTR My RC boating has took the back seat to my sons motocross. Would much rather sell this rigger RTR with all the extras in one lot. An opportunity for someone to turn the props, Rx and extras to end up with a very reasonably priced high end rigger. This rigger has...

    Eagle SGX

Thanks Don and Mark, so it sounds like I do need to get this temp up to around 200. Here's more input. The pipe is the new barstock AB67. Measuring from the center of the pipe (the fatest diameter) is 10 1/2" following the angle of the pipe to the center of the engine. Or, 10 1/8" from the...

    Eagle SGX

I have a Eagle SGX with a mac 67. I was told the optimum engine temp should be 200. I tried the smallest stinger bushing for the AB pipe, no change. I record 72-75 on the gps. CMDI says I should be running in the high 70's to 80. The engine temp I have is only 100 after any given run. How else...

    Reading a glow plug

Can you school me on reading a glow plug...The element pulled out or pushed in, is telling me what? Engine and plug: MAC 67, MC-9. Thanks,

    Test & Tune

Buck Yes, third seam as you called it, widest diameter of the pipe. Ran the tape along the center of the pipe and measured to the centerline of the engine. Ran 10 3/4" all year until I was advised this boat should run faster. And it does!!!!!!

    Test & Tune

Made some big improvements. Sharpened the sponsons, pulled the pipe in to 10 1/8" and removed the rear tube shims. THAT put some air underneath. Hopped here and again down the straights during heats, but still handled awesome in light windy conditions. Although the element looked pretty twisted...

    Test & Tune

Thanks Aaron and Chris. I picked a bad day to test, the water was like glass. Took shim's out of rear sponson tubes and worked the pipe in from 10 3/4 to 10 1/4 and gained 3 mph. But the conditions were very wet. Will look for a day with wind like it so often is when your running heats. Thanks...

    Test & Tune

My Garmin GPS is recording 70.6 mph in heat trim. Does this speed sound about right or is there more to be had? Setup specs: Eagle SGX MAC 67, bar stock AB67 set at 10 3/4", negative 1 1/4 degree strut, H-38 w/5.29 cup, front sponson attack angles L-2.30 R-2.40, 50% red max probably 4 gallons...

    Eagle SGX 67

I will take your advice on that cup Don. I clearly seen a difference from the 1657 @5.5 to the H38 @5.6. I will try a H38 @5.0 though. I screwed up though on the pipe. I talked with John a long time on this boat and parabolic was always mentioned but the finished product was the new bar stock...

    Eagle SGX 67

Bob Come first spring I will try everybodys advice, check servo's, linkage, pipe adjustment, maybe a new Tx and by all means fuel mixture. Besides not having that midrange throttle control, the boat runs awesome. Like I was telling Andy, I never really changed the mixture much. This might be...

    Eagle SGX 67

Andy Never got to yuk with you on this issue, I did call john a few times about this behavior. There is alot of good advice on this forum. I'm making a mental note on all of the above for first spring. When I first fired up the Mac I set the needle rich at 1/3 throttle. So rich she'd just...

    Eagle SGX 67

Don, The engine is a Mac 67. I purchased this rigger RTR from John. Only had three times to run it before the Mi. weather put a holt to my boating. The parobolic is as John sent it to me. That's all I know is that it has a short stinger bolted on at the end of the baffle. Bill

    Eagle SGX 67

Tank is new infact the complete rigger is brand new. It runs the full tank everytime with no hesitation, nor stalling. The boat runs awesome. Plugs look great, not eating coils. Fouled a couple running so rich during break-in. I was told by John the pipe is where it's suppose to be set. Up here...
