There is alot to play into what is the best prop for the insane mono, One prop may work for one guy but sucks for the other. I had a stock 260 with raised exhaust to 176 and it could pull a MW3 prop. Put a modded 260 in there and it liked the G20, 7016/2 7016/3 at 67mm ( cut down on dia)...

It sounds as if you are over choking it or low end needle is to rich. If there is to much gas/oil in the cylinder it will not fire. Zens flood easy, Rings yes will cause problems, but i am thinking its being over choked. give that a try and see. carbs 2 low 1 high is a good starting point.

In all HONESTY If someone is looking for a engine, I would have to say GET A ZENOAH. Most other weeder engines need moded to make some good HP and the mounting and stuff. Zens can take the abuse in a boat, dunks, hydros, and then as you want more and more speed you can mod out the zen and you...

If its a prop I repitched, I will write on back of a blade, Paint pens work great and stay on. Some people scribe on the hub.

I have used greases, Lubes, caliper lubes, But the 1 thing i always go back to and mix with whatever i use to lube is antiseize. It dont sling off or wash off. Seems to stay on the cable for a long time.

The 231 is a 4 port motor, the 23pum, 230 are 2 port motors. The 260 and 231s are the "newest" Of the 4 port motors in the marine motors. THey both perform well, stock or moded. The 231 revs higher than the 23s stock or moded. 231 verses the 260 STOCK, run both the 231 will out rev the 260...
