This is message for all boaters using aeromarine collets for 1/4 flex cable.
One of the reasons tha cable become lose is not enough lenght of cable came out from insert.
Please take a look on attached picture. I changed bolt holding cable collet.
No more lose cable!!!
I hope this info will help somebody else.
The new bolt is a flat head M6x1, 12 mm. you can get it from hardware store ~45 cents. The head grounded down to 8 mm OD.
