Cut piece fuel tubing about 1/4'' and slide on the end of shaft.

Shaft savers!! Are you referring to a collar put on the flex shaft forward of the stuffing tube and aft of the collet just in case the collet comes loose?

For that I use Du-Bro collars. They come in a variety of sizes. I always have half a dozen of each in my tool box.

Zippkits sells them in both sizes and you can buy only one but it's a better deal if you get 4 at a time. The trick is to look under boom tube collars for the 4-pack.
