FYI

Just returned from the pond and have some information about the Piped Villain.

After racing the villain S1 with a piped motor this last weekend and having done so well i thought i would see what else i could do with it.

After 3 hrs of testing I have found the following:

The Villain will ;D race hard with a piped motor.

Setup thus far:

1440 prop,, I tried others but this one just works best.

.5 deg neg trim.

CG set 9.75" from the sponson transoms

Total running weight: 4lbs 9 3/4 oz :-

Sorry no MPH to report at this time. :-X

One note: I added strakes to the sponson bottoms. ;)

Final thoughts:

I’m very happy with the way the boat performs. It has exceeded my expectations. The wind at the pond today was brisk to say the least. (About 30 mph). The boat stayed on the water and i never had to row for it. Oddly enough the water was somewhat smooth even though the wind was bad.

I will race it again tomorrow weather permitting.

Rock-On
